Built for East Texas dirt and Cedar Creek Lake weather.
Wind is what takes carports down out here. An open cover on the west side of a Cedar Creek Lake property catches everything coming across the water, so leg gauge, bracing and anchor type matter more than the price tag on the frame. We build the pad and set the structure on the same job — compacted flex base or a poured slab in Mabank, Gun Barrel City, Kemp, Eustace and out through Kaufman, Terrell and Athens. If the county wants an engineered, wind-certified structure, that's what gets installed.

Common questions.
How much does a carport cost installed near Mabank, TX?+
A standard 20'x20' double carport typically runs $3,000–$6,500 installed, depending on gauge, leg height, roof style and whether you enclose sides. RV covers and fully enclosed garages price above that.
Do I need a permit for a carport?+
Inside city limits usually yes; on county acreage often no. We check with the local authority for your address and pull what's required before we set steel.
Can you pour the concrete pad too?+
Yes. We prep and pour the slab or build a compacted flex-base gravel pad, then set and anchor the structure — one crew responsible for level, drainage and anchoring.
What's the difference between 12-gauge and 14-gauge framing?+
12-gauge tube is thicker steel and is what wind-certified structures are built from. We spec 12-gauge on our installs; 14-gauge is the budget frame you see on roadside units.
Vertical roof or regular roof?+
Vertical panels run ridge-to-eave so rain, leaves and debris shed off. On anything longer than about 24 feet, vertical is worth the difference.
Can you enclose a carport later?+
Yes — we add walls, garage doors, walk doors and lean-tos to existing structures, ours or someone else's.
