Local expertise

Built for East Texas dirt and Cedar Creek Lake weather.

Acreage around Cedar Creek Lake gets away from people fast — yaupon, cedar, greenbrier and thirty years of whatever got dropped behind the barn. Mulching handles most of it in a single pass and leaves cover that keeps the dirt from washing. Where a building pad, pond or fence is going in, we grub the roots and haul the material off instead. We work Mabank, Kemp, Eustace, Malakoff, Athens, Canton and out into Kaufman and Terrell, and we finish by seeding or stabilizing anything we left bare.

FAQ

Common questions.

How much does land clearing cost per acre in East Texas?+

Light brush mulched typically runs $1,500–$3,000 per acre. Heavy timber, root grubbing and haul-off cost more. We walk the property with you and quote the actual density, not an average.

Mulching or grubbing — which do I need?+

Forestry mulching is faster and cheaper and leaves the material as ground cover, which is right for pasture and fence lines. If a pad, slab or pond is going in, we grub the roots out and haul them off.

Do you grind stumps?+

Yes — we grind below grade so you can mow, fence or pour concrete over the spot without it sinking later.

Can you clear a fence line and build the fence?+

That's one of our most common combos. The clearing crew opens the line and the fence crew sets posts on the same project.

Do you haul off junk and old structures?+

Yes. House and barn cleanouts, scrap metal, appliances, old sheds and construction debris — hauled off, not pushed into a burn pile.

What about cedar and mesquite?+

Both get mulched at the stump so they don't resprout. Cedar eradication on Henderson and Van Zandt County acreage is regular work for us.
